Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my business. This is a superb opportunity to realise the perfect work-life integration; a profitable business in a beautiful natural environment. The bar/restaurant/chambres d’hôtes has been operating profitably and successfully for 20 years. I am looking to retire soon and hope to find a buyer who will take ownership of Le Caff and continue its success.
Pampelonne is a pretty village in the Tarn with a strong sense of local community thanks to its sports clubs and the forward-looking mayor. In the summer, Pampelonne is a popular destination for French, Dutch and English tourists. Pampelonne is ideally located just over an hour from Toulouse and Rodez International Airports. It is amongst some of the most idyllic villages in SW France. In recent years, young families seeking a home in the countryside that is near to their work in the city have discovered Pampelonne and are moving into the new housing developments here.
The owner’s three-bedroom apartment has been completely refurbished and is ready for your personal touch.
There is a great opportunity to further enhance the business and develop sales. If I were twenty years younger, I would increase sales by
• Offering normal business hours. In my semi-retirement, I am only open for early evening drinks and meals.
• Opening later at weekends; this is the only bar in town and the locals like to stay out until the early hours.
• There is real demand for lunchtime meals and morning coffee.
• The take-away part of the business could be improved by advertising to the new families.
• The five Chambre D’hôtes rooms are refurbished but not offered currently.
• There is also a demand for gambling machines but I haven’t enquired and don’t know how this works. They are popular in other cafés though.
• The garden and the little terrace at the rear are not used by customers currently.
Le Caff is fully equipped and ready to go. I’ll be happy to support a successful handover with help to the new owners or disappear if that’s preferred.
I wish you every success in your search for a new business.
