One is beautiful, charming and famous. In its shadow, however, there is the other, the humble, the "quiet" and unknown to the general public. If they were the protagonists in a fairy tale, Santorini would be the pampered sister and Anafi, the neglected Cinderella.
Anafi it is. Santorini's "unheralded" sister, in recent years, has gained fanatical fans who are willing to leave behind the charms of their cosmopolitan neighbour in preference to an escape to a place that is unadulterated and authentic.
Movement one, take the watch off. Motion two, try to assimilate into the island's environment and follow its relaxed rhythms. Anafi will fully justify the myth that the island suddenly "popped up" from the depths of the sea to house Jason and the Argonauts when they were returning from Colchis.
Beaches for first mammals
Cycladic beaches with crystal clear waters, yes. Crowded, crowded, umbrellas, sunbeds and annoying rackets, no. These, in short, are the characteristics of the authentic Anafiotic beach.
