In the other direction, Lake Balaton and Keszthely are a 30-minute drive away. Here, you'll find everything you'd expect from a large city, including schools, a hospital, sports facilities, and more.


Between Keszthely and Szalapa, you'll find Tapolca, where a visit to the caves is definitely worthwhile.


Other larger towns include Zalaszentgrót, 9 km away, and Hévíz, with its famous thermal lake, 27 km away.
