Small, comfortable studio, fully equipped, decorated with style, mainly with handmade furniture made by the owner, in Halepa, the most beautiful neighborhood of the city of Chania, just 2 kilometers from the center and the Old Town and 800 meters from the nearest beach .
We renovated this small apartment in a very creative mood, having decided to make some basic furniture like the bed, use some vintage pieces like the chairs, recycle materials or our own used furniture. The result is that happy, warm home you see in the photos. We named it Friends to honor our friends with whose patience and help we managed this renovation, but also thanks to its friendly, community atmosphere.
It is a studio divided into two parts in such a way that there is privacy between them. In one part a large bed and a comfortable dressing table and a toilet with shower and washing machine and in the other, a fully equipped kitchen, a table for 4 people, a desk for those who want to work and the living room with another day bed. A small sunny courtyard can accommodate your breakfasts, midday siesta or a romantic dinner in the evening, enjoying the beauty of a century-old olive tree next door.
To get to the apartment you have to go down a few steps from the street side to find yourself in a common corridor that communicates with the other two apartments on the ground floor, surrounded by courtyards and gardens. The studio is in the middle of this corridor.

Halepa is an old suburb of the city famous for its history and architectural wealth, as it is full of stately houses, palaces, consulates, gardens and impressive churches from the beginning of the 20th century, such as the house-museum of the most important Greek politician El Venizelou (at a distance of 400 meters) and the Russian church of Agia Magdaleni (Saint Magdalena) with its wonderful garden. The new Archaeological Museum of Chania is 450 meters away. At 600 meters distance is the amazing seaside neighborhood of Tabakaria (tanneries built on vertical cliffs during the period of Egyptian occupation in the 19th century). There you will findone of the best fish taverns in the city next to the sea, the natural pool of Kouloura and the picturesque church of Metamorfosis of Sotira (Transformation of the Savior) overlooking the open sea. Within a 2-5 minute walk you will find a supermarket, a bus stop, cute cafes, excellent taverns with local cuisine and good prices, as well as a car rental office. The coastal walk from Halepa to the old town of Chania, especially at sunset, is an authentic and enjoyable experience that will bring you closer to the local way of life.
