This tastefully appointed, self-catering, cottage nestled in a beautiful hillside tropical garden adjoining government reserve forest, serves best as a romantic hideaway for couples but will sleep four.



Located on 3 private acres, Belair Garden Cottage offers a tranquil setting where you can unwind and soak up the beauty of this little known Caribbean island. Whether you’re hiking on a myriad of scenic trails or relaxing in a hammock, there is always a refreshing breeze in Belair.



The fabulous view encompasses 14 islands of the Grenadines chain and on a clear day includes St.Vincent, some 30 miles to the north. The mature surrounding gardens feature many exotic, colorful flowering plants and tropical fruit trees and attract wildlife including banana quits, melodic mocking birds, hummingbirds, doves, chameleons, iguanas, and more.



Belair Garden Cottage is about 1-1/2 miles outside of the main town of Hillsborough. A scenic, winding road takes you through the countryside and ascends to the village of Belair, some 700 feet above sea level. Discounted jeep rentals are offered for those who wish to tour all the interesting sights on the island and to easily get to all the beaches. There are buses that go to & from Belair & Hillsborough and taxis are available, too.



Home baked goods are available from our kitchen including complimentary muffins upon your arrival. Your privacy and quiet are assured, as the cottage is located away from the main house, in which the owners live, and has a separate driveway and parking space.

CARRIACOU:

Carriacou offers a variety of beaches some secluded and others with beach bars that serve drinks and snacks. Restaurant offerings include 5-star international cuisine, West Indian traditional dishes, and pizza. Water taxis can take you to nearby smaller out islands for a day of snorkeling & exploring or you can go day sailing. Carriacou has a rich cultural heritage & has several festivals, featuring traditional customs, dancing & music. There are many historical sites to visit and a network of hiking trails.

Along with our sister isle, Petite Martinique, Carriacou and Grenada make up the tri-island country of Grenada in the Caribbean. Grenada received its independence from Great Britain in 1974. There are 15 parliamentary seats; Dickon Mitchell of the NDC party is the Prime Minister. Tourism provides a large portion of revenue for the country, featuring multiple islands, beautiful sandy beaches and the mainland's rain forests, waterfalls, and spice plantations.



GETTING HERE:There are several international airlines servicing Grenada including American Airlines, Jet Blue, Caribbean Airways, Virgin Airlines, and British Airways, and Condor. The high-speed ferry from Grenada to Carriacou runs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and there SVG Air 19-seater commuter plane has flights 5 days per week.
