My house is located in the vicinity of UNESCO world heritage site, it is a popular tourist destination and a sacred pilgrimage site for Buddhist people from around the world. Our lifestyle is very much determined by strong religious faith in the oldest sect of Tibetan Buddhism and we are distinguished by our typical dressing and food pattern. Visitors to our home can experience local culture and also gather knowledge about mountain and mountaineering because majority of our tribes are involved in mountain expedition. The historic ascent of Mt Everest by Tensing Norgay Sherpa belonged to our caste.
