We are an English couple offering an English experience in France. Our house is situated in a little hamlet called Suchet in the Charente Maritime. The region of Cognaca is famous for it's brandy. The house is an 18th Century Farmhouse full of character set in a large garden and surrounded by fields, rivers and woods. The local village, Matha is just a 5 minute walk away with bars, restaurants, shops and cinema. We are an outgoing fun loving couple with 3 friendly dogs, 2 labradors and a terrier. We love entertaining our guests and enjoy exploring the countryside, socialising, playing games and outdoor activities. We also love to cook world foods and can offer a variety of dishes to cater for different tastes including homemade bread and pizzas, sushi, curry, authentic chinese and of course English cuisine. The nearest towns are St. Jean D'Angely, Cognac, Saintes, Bordeaux and La Rochelle. The beautiful beaches at Royan are just a 1 hour drive away. Three airports are all easily accessible.
