My wife & I live 3/4 of an hour from Christchurch city ( & airport ) towards Mount Hutt, you could be on the mountain within the hour from June - Sept from our back yard. We have a couple of small dogs ( you can bring yours ) . The village has a wonderful café ( which we owned for 6 years ) and a garage, school, engineers & Church. We are cyclists and have a couple of spares to share. We enjoy wine and food and a good laugh
