Why I joined HomeStay is because of my love to associate people from other cultures and to learn about other countries. However, I have to take a nominal fee as it is difficult to provide comfortable accommodation and meals in an area like mine ( very cold and misty), just to cover my cost. Please note that I'm not doing this as a business and That I do not compete with anyother hosts in the area. I'd like the guest to be a part of the family during the stay and become a forever friend to us. I'm a working mom of a daughter who is schooling and my husband works away from home. He comes home only on certain holidays. Therefore, I can host only one female at a time. Further, there are times when I have to go to Colombo or when my family or friends visit me. At such times, I'm unable to host.
