Florence's most famous landmarks are mere steps from this apartment. Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Signoria, Florence Cathedral, and plenty more are less than ten minutes away on foot. Of course, being in the heart of the city has its quirks. Noise is likely here, and a climb to the third floor is required as the building doesn't have a lift. But once inside, we reckon you'll appreciate the traditional features on offer. The open-plan living area has just enough room to decompress after sightseeing as well as a compact (yet well-appointed) kitchen to rustle up Italian dishes. Two guests will sleep on a sofa bed, though – fine for short stays, but may not suit everyone.
*At full capacity, two guests will sleep on the sofa bed in the living area.
*This apartment is on the third floor of a building without an elevator. We suggest packing light as there are a lot of stairs to climb here.
*Although there's a balcony here, there's currently nowhere to sit. It's also overlooked by neighbouring buildings and isn't the most private.
*Given the central location, noise is to be expected. We suggest packing earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
*If you're travelling for work, you won't find a dedicated desk here. However, the dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace.
