The traditional interiors may not be everyone’s cup of tea, and there’s no oven here, but it’s a cosy home, perfect for a small family or two couples. The shared outdoor area makes the most of the Mediterranean climate, with ample space for lounging in the sun, and a pool to cool off in. Prefer some privacy? This home has a private terrace, too – just the spot for sipping chianti as the sun sets.

*There's no lift here. You'll need to be able to climb stairs to reach the home entrance.
*You'll have access to the communal swimming pool and gardens here, shared with the building's other residents.

*Your host can provide a cot for free. You'll need to request it in advance.
*There's no oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
