Nestled in the heart of the Nantahala National Forest, this home offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Originally built in the 1790s and early 1900s, the two cabins have been lovingly updated and are an ideal base for a group wanting to holiday together yet still enjoy some private time. We love the outdoor space, particularly the hot tub and fire pit – just keep an eye out for wandering wildlife. Keen to explore? Despite the secluded location, it's a mere five-minute drive to downtown Highlands, where live music, shops and authentic eateries await.
*This home is made up of two log cabins. The cabins are connected by an external covered porch.
*While the home can sleep up to eight people, the maximum occupancy is six guests.
*The front cabin sleeps two, plus there is a mezzanine area with a bed that's only suitable for small children.
*The back cabin hosts the main living areas and two further bedrooms, sleeping four. The third bedroom is a basement room, accessed via exterior stone steps.
*This home is amongst woodland – wildlife may be encountered, including black bears. Children must be supervised at all times here.
*Due to this home's location, we recommend hiring a car to get the most out of your stay. On-site parking is available for three cars.
