Stunning panoramic views await in this top-floor studio apartment. The scenery speaks for itself – you'll wake up to Palazzo Pitti and drift off to the Duomo. Perched in the building's watchtower, it's part of an ancient palace dating back to 1470. If you love traditional features, this is the home for you – expect terracotta floors, wooden ceilings, a Renaissance courtyard steeped in history, and, of course, large windows that frame the Florentine skyline. Granted, there are a few things to note here. The kitchen is compact, and there are quite a lot of stairs. Still, with vistas as good as this and an impeccable location, we think that's a worthwhile compromise.
*This apartment has a lift that goes to the first floor. Another freight elevator goes to the second floor, but the third floor is only accessible via a staircase. We don't think it'll be suitable for those with limited mobility.
*You won't find an oven here – though there is a hob. We think the kitchen is better suited to prepping lighter bites than large meals.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair upon request.
