An interesting fact about this apartment building is that the Berlin Wall would have run straight through when it was up. As such, it's a great location to see both sides of the city's history and you've got a great vantage point from the top floor balcony, which faces towards Mauerpark. Turning your back on the skyline for a moment, you'll be greeted by a bright and modern home full of fascinating curios — the intricately carved wooden bed in the master bedroom, for instance, came from a Buddhist Temple in Bali and there's abstract artwork hung on the walls that will have you stroking your chin. If it gives you the inspiration to go out and see an exhibition, Kulturbrauerei is only fifteen minutes' walk away. However, if you just want to flit between restaurants and bars, a five-minute stroll will take you to vibrant Zionskirchplatz and Kastanieenallee, two charming squares packed full of places to sit and watch the world go by.
*The kitchens and bathrooms have since been refurbished
*The fifth and sixth guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room
*There's private parking in the building's courtyard and it costs 15€ per night — there's also on-street parking available too, but it's not free
*A cot and high chair are available if required
*There's an elevator to reach this apartment on the sixth floor and the home itself is step-free
