For a unique and unforgettable experience, stay in this operational lighthouse on the furthest point of Cornwall’s Roseland Peninsula. The sea views are second-to-none, whether that’s from the sunny patio or the detached observation room – complete with a fireplace for cosy storm watching. Seeing as this lighthouse is operational, expect to hear automatic fog signal on misty nights and see maintenance people from time to time. Other than that, the cottage is private with no public access. You’ll park in the National Trust car park – it’s a 300-metre steep path down to the cottage from there. Guests should also be aware that the home isn't suitable for children under 14, including babies. But there's a lot to love here. You even have easy access to a beautiful beach.
*While children over 14 year old are welcome, the cottage isn't suitable for younger children or babies.
*There is parking in the National Trust car park above the cottage and it's a 300-metre steep tarmac path down to the cottage. It's not possible to drive down to the cottage. There's no way to charge electric cars here.
*Please bear in mind that this cottage is beside an operational lighthouse and there is an automatic fog signal. Your host provides ear plugs for particularly foggy periods.
*The lighthouse is completely private with no public access. You might see the occasional maintenance person.
*There's very limited mobile signal here, but there is wifi and a telephone.
