Opposite the iconic bullfighting ring, Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas, this home has an enviable location. It's extremely well-connected to public transport links and plenty of traditional tapas spots are within walking distance. Some of the furniture is a little dated and the touristic photography won't be everyone's cup of tea, but it still has plenty of strengths. Recently renovated, everything works perfectly. The wifi is speedy, the parquet flooring is immaculate, and we loved the little terrace – a sweet place to enjoy breakfast before heading out to explore the city.
*The décor is very simple and generic and the aesthetics are not quite up to Plum Guide's usual standards – we've made an exception to let this one into the collection on account of its great location in Salamanca
*As there is only one air-conditioning unit and a single fan in the bedroom, it could get a little hot during the summer
*Guest number three will sleep on the sofa bed in the living room
*The marble bathroom may feel a bit tired and dated to some
*There's no oven and the kitchen could do with some more utensils
*If you're staying more than a couple of days, you will need to buy additional basic provisions such as toilet paper
