Linderhof oozes character with a regal touch. Even though we can’t quite seem to nail down its style (it’s a mix of everything, Hollywood Regency elements, Baroque accents, Farmhouse Style cabinetry), we absolutely loved the high ceilings, stucco detailing, and the gorgeous granite countertop. Located in wonderful Schöneberg, it’s in a charismatic part of Berlin with lots to do around the corner.
*We know we’re picky, but the bedding isn’t as luxurious as we would have liked it to be
*The bathroom feels a bit tired and could perhaps do with a bit of an update
*The host owns several, near-identical homes in the same building – the layout and design might vary slightly depending on which floor you stay on
*The walls could do with a lick of paint to cover up scuff marks
*Light sleepers beware – the curtains in the bedroom don’t do a great job at blocking out sunlight
*This home is filled with weird and wonderful things, if you’re a minimalist at heart it’s best to look elsewhere
*When we visited, we noticed a crack in the door – the host is aware of this
*The windows in the bedroom are a bit stubborn and hard to open
