Technically a studio, this home has been set up to make the most use of the little space there is. You’ll find surprises at every corner, like the hidden hob that pops up from under the kitchen counter. The host has also built USB ports into all the plugs, so you can charge your phone, or kindle without having to bring an adapter. The best part though is the Scandi-style bed, which is tucked away behind two asymmetrical walls, creating a minimalist, but cosy, sleeping area.
*The minimum stay is 6 months for this home, as is standard in Berlin
*This second-floor home does not have an elevator
*There’s not a huge amount of storage space for guests to unpack
*If you’re keen to be in the midst of Berlin’s hustle and bustle, Schöneberg may be a bit too residential for you
*There is a combined washing machine/dryer here.
