When you see as many flats as we do, you learn very quickly to tell which homes have been done up for convenience, and which are a labour of love. Toquilla clearly falls into the latter category. It’s been designed as a whole, with thought and attention put into the schemes, as well as the materials. We particularly liked the concrete pillars and the glass walls, neither of which are especially common in Madrid. The only real complaint we have is the fake plants – They’re understandable for the convenience, but really, most places would be better off without anything.
*We like the look of the glass wall between one of the bedrooms and the living room, but it doesn't leave much to the imagination
*That bedroom also has two single beds pushed together, rather than a real double bed
*We found some limescale on the taps
*Neither of the bathrooms have any windows
*Two people can sleep on a double sofa bed in the living room
