Roman Pastoral is unlike anything else in our Roman collection. It’s an enormous villa in the countryside outside the city, among hills and forests and volcanic lakes. The gardens are something else, set over multiple levels with lawns, trees, a pool, a reservoir, even a place to play football. The interior is a bit old-fashioned, but honestly, that’s kind of the point. You can imagine that you’re a nineteenth-century noble, retiring to their country house for the summer.

*The size of the house and the thick walls mean that the wi-fi doesn't extend to any of the bedrooms
*A full-time housekeeper lives nearby
*The pool is not accessible all year round, but from June to September
*You won't find a manual or handbook for this home, but your host should be on hand if you have any issues
