Florence has a high enough density of sights that you can stay anywhere and chances are you’ll be close to something, but Rolling Lyric still manages to stand out in this regard. The Baptistry, the Duomo, and San Lorenzo’s Basilica are all about fifty metres away (maybe a hundred at a stretch). The flat itself is in a Renaissance building (lots of places in Florence are), and there are nods to that in the interior design. These could clash with some of the more modern furniture, but it’s been designed well enough that they complement each other nicely.
*You'll have to take the stairs to the fourth floor, as there's no lift
*The TV isn't hooked up to the internet, so you'll have to stick to a laptop for Netflix
*As the flat is so central, the pedestrian street outside is often busy and with the windows open, you can hear the throngs of people
*There's no dishwasher
*While there is a sofa bed for two downstairs, there's no separation between that and the bed on the mezzanine
