Situated on the slopes of Mount Etna and with stunning views of the volcano and sea, this home is all about the location for us. The traditional interior gives a nod to its 19th-century roots and because of its design, the lower level lacks a bit of natural light. In contrast, sunlight streams into the upstairs space. The generous garden and pool area is sure to be a hit with younger ones, with space to run around while the grown-ups top up their tan. Locally, Mount Etna is just thirty minutes away, so pop it near the top of your must-visit list.
*While the kitchen and one bathroom aren't photographed, we expect the style and quality to be consistent with the rest of the home.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a cot and high chair for free. You'll need to request them in advance.
*The swimming pool isn't fenced. If you're bringing children, they'll need to be supervised at all times.
*There are stairs to climb here, so it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
*The bedroom curtains don't fully block out the sunlight. If you're hoping to enjoy a lie-in, you might want to pack an eye mask.
*While we love the overall design of this home, in contrast to the first floor, it's lacking in natural light in the kitchen and living area.
