Surrounded by over 500 acres of woodland, lakes and ponds, this Grade II-listed farmhouse makes a big impression. Rooms are spacious and comfortably modern, though taller guests might want to watch their heads on some of the sloping ceilings. The manicured garden stretches around the outdoor seating, making it easy for parents to supervise kids playing on the lawn whilst they enjoy a sunset drink. There's also a tennis court, gym, squash court, play set, and table tennis to keep everyone busy, but the lake is our favourite. With a jetty and small rowing boat, you can get out on the water whenever you need a peaceful moment.
*We suggest hiring a car for ease – there's parking space for up to ten cars. You'll also find two EV charging points here.
*As there are stairs to climb, it might not be the best option for those with reduced mobility.
*The ceiling in some areas is on the low side.
*Some of the zip and link beds can be made up as kings or singles – you'll have to request this in advance.
*If you're travelling with little ones, your host can provide a high chair and cot for free.
*A welcome hamper will get you started. Should you want to stock up on essentials, you'll find the closest supermarket minutes away.
*Hen and stag parties are strictly not allowed.
*Some areas of the estate will be off limits during shooting season – October to January.
