This home is an oasis of coolness and calm within the desert. Inside, glorious vintage Moroccan textiles cover the floors, while the art is provided by artists that host Denise represents in her art gallery. Architectural accents also lurk behind every corner – we especially loved the exposed beams and Mission-style plaster. The outdoors of the property are wild and isolated and will appeal to the adventurous and those craving solitude. Steps have been taken to tame the wilderness in ways that inspire relaxation, such as the outdoor bathtub, shower, plunge-pool, and many hammocks.
*The dirt road to access this home is in good enough condition for most American-style cars, but a four-wheel drive is recommended
*There is a swamp cooler instead of air conditioning, which is effective in the desert but does not get super cool
*The bed in the third bedroom is rather small and would not comfortably fit two grown adults
*Denise, the host, asks that guests refrain from wearing shoes inside the home
*The wi-fi isn’t as fast in the desert as we’re used to in the bigger cities
