Stepping inside this Palm Springs home, we immediately were transported to the town's heyday, where mid-century movie stars flocked to the area for film premieres and sun-soaked getaways. This feels like a 1970s party pad, from the grassy outdoors and lengthy swimming pool, to the living room's stone fireplace. But it feels current too, thanks to colourful modern art, polished concrete floors, and a wet bar. Pops of colour liven up the clean, white bedrooms, and glorious floor-to-ceiling glass lets tonnes of sunlight flood this chic villa. Downtown Palm Springs is minutes away, with art museums, an eclectic dining scene, and vivacious gardens. No need to leave your home though as the grounds come with mountain views that, in our opinion, are some of the best in the area. Light the firepit to keep things warm when the sun goes down, a dream to watch the stars – or toast s'mores – under.

* The home is on a main street, so the traffic can sometimes be heard from indoors
