A former costume workshop, this studio flat has charm and character aplenty. Famous singers like Mistinguette and Josephine Baker wore outfits made here, and there are nods to the home's history in the gorgeous tiled floors, gingham linens, vibrant posters and artwork and painted brick walls. The large windows overlook a pretty shared courtyard, which acts as a tranquil space in an otherwise lively part of Paris. It feels like a movie set, and you'll love waking up to the idyllic scenes each morning in the sumptuous bed. We think it's best suited for a couple or lone traveller on a short stay – it's romantic and cosy, with a compact yet functional kitchen that still has enough to rustle up light lunches. It's an artsy haven right in the centre of the city, with charming bistros, restaurants and cafes all within walking distance. Palais Garnier Opera, Sacré-Cœur and the Louvre are all a twenty-minute stroll away, and with Cadet station right down the street, getting around the rest of Paris is a breeze.
