With exposed brick walls, custom-made furniture and original artwork, this pad in a converted cork factory oozes that cool, NYC feeling. For a one bed in the city, we think it's surprisingly roomy, especially the living area. There's a desk to work from if you're in town on business, a four-seater dining table and a well-appointed kitchen, which has everything home chefs need to rustle up a meal or two. The bedroom is snug, but it's a cosy place to rest your head, and the location is pretty great, too. Greenpoint is a quiet pocket of Brooklyn, famous for its Polish eateries and vintage stores. Though the commute to Manhattan is a little long – the G-train is a ten-minute walk away – there's a creative, community spirit here that's hard to resist. On weekends, browse the stalls at the farmers market in McGlorick Park before strolling down to the water for some skyline views. Then, finish the day off with a drink at one of the late-night bars in this neighbourhood. If you're looking for an authentic Brooklyn experience away from the crowds, we think this will fit the bill.
*Pets under 25lbs are welcome to join you *Though Greenpoint is a largely residential area, this flat can get noisy from nearby traffic *The washing machine and dryer are in-building and shared with other residents *Guests can self check-in via a lockbox – there's also a freight elevator in the building, which can be used by appointment *There's free on-street parking by the building, but we don't think you'll need a car
