The outside space is equally, if not more impressive – the architect has carefully arranged the patios so there will be an abundance of shade at all times of the day. Take a dip in the Jacuzzi, or make a splash in the glittering pool to cool off, before refueling with a freshly barbecued feast at the alfresco dining spot. And, with a selection of fruit trees, the scent on the sea breeze is simply divine.

Tholos Beach is only a five-minute drive away from your front door, and this natural bay is a little off the tourist track. It makes a great place to paddle and catch some rays – your host will even provide two canoes for you to use on the water. If you'd prefer to stick to dry land then there are two mountain bikes available for you to enjoy – we recommend taking an epic cycle through the rugged landscapes, stopping at a local taverna for a well-earned lunch.
