We defy anyone to look through this home's photos and not feel instantly at ease. It's something to do with the ample amounts of space, cleansing white walls and large arched windows that look out over rooftops and also flood the interior with sunshine.
The design is definitely sparse, although we think there are enough personal touches to ward off accusations of anonymity. The floral-style lampshade in the bedroom is eye-catching and we also like the vintage travel adverts hanging in frames on the wall.
However, don't be surprised if you don't actually spend all too much time in the apartment. The home's position in the Mezzegra region is simply gorgeous, helped by the fact that the banks of Lake Como can be reached in five minutes' walk. Villa del Balbianello takes forty-five minutes to reach on foot, while you catch a ferry to the town of Bellagio in just over an hour.
*A baby cot can be provided upon request
*There's no private parking space, but there are free car parks starting from as close by as seven minutes' walk away
*The host can provide a baby cot and a high chair, at an extra cost.
*The apartment is split across one level, although it's on the first floor of a building with no lift
