In Gina’s reverse duplex, bedrooms unusually take the lower level while the kitchen and living room are found upstairs beside a leafy mini-balcony. It’s also rare to find two super king-size beds, and even rarer for a spa-style bathroom to offer natural light with its standalone tub and TV. A minimal Scandi vibe runs throughout the beautiful apartment, incorporating suspended lamps, wall nooks, recycled woods and cacti. Right outside is the villagey Exmouth Market street, famed among Londoners for its superb restaurants.
*You'll need to climb several narrow stairs with steep risers to access the flat – be prepared for a small amount of suitcase lugging upon arrival.
*There is no proper dining table separate to the breakfast bar in the kitchen.
*Those who prefer firm mattresses may want to look elsewhere - the beds here are rather worn down.
*The kitchen lacks the basic essentials – we'd recommend bringing your own.
*The door to the first bedroom doesn't close.
*The bedroom curtains here don't fully block out light. If you're hoping to enjoy a lie-in, you might want to pack an eye mask.
*The quirky, industrial-chic design isn't for everyone. Though we find the decor charming, we think some bits and bobs could do with a touch-up.
