There are beautiful views over San Marco, San Giorgio and the Venetian Lagoon from this home’s sunny altana (a traditional wooden roof-top terrace). In fact on clear days, you can even spot the Dolomites. Inside, you’ll find an attic-style apartment with lofty ceilings and characterful beams. One thing to note, we’d say, is the architectural open-tread spiral staircase – whilst a striking feature, it may not be suitable for children below 4 years old or guests with limited mobility. In terms of location, the apartment is situated just a six-minute stroll from the Giardini Biennale which hosts the Venice Biennale Art Festival, while San Marco Square is twelve minutes on foot.
*There are around fifty-eight steps to reach the apartment
*This home can sleep an additional guest – guest three would be on a sofa bed in the living room (there is also a futon on the mezzanine, but the maximum guest capacity here is three people)
*The open tread staircase is not suitable for children below 4 years old or for people with limited mobility, as the last part of the stairway is quite steep
*The terrace is accessed via the spiral stairs
*The kitchen has chef-rated equipment
*This home is in a central spot, so noise may be heard
*The dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly space
*The Arsenale Vaporetto stop is a two-minute walk away, as is a supermarket, while there are restaurants and bars nearby
