Gilded gold mirrors, antique furniture, rustic tiled flooring – what this studio apartment lacks in space, it more than makes up for in character. It's packed with plenty of charm, and compared to other apartments of its size, the kitchen is a dream – there's a hob, an oven and a traditional Italian espresso maker to kick-start your mornings. Whether you're unwinding on the sofa with a glass of wine and your favourite Netflix show or nodding off in the sumptuous bed, this apartment feels like a cosy homestead, albeit a tiny one. A stay here will have you living like a local – there's a real sense of community in this bohemian area, and you'll feel like you're part of the action as it unfolds right in front of your window. Trastevere is full of picturesque pedestrian lanes, excellent restaurants (there's a delicious trattoria right down the street) and craft ale pubs. It's a spot where Romans while away their evenings, but if you're in town to see the sights, hop on the tram or don your walking shoes, and you can reach Piazza Navona in fifteen minutes.
*This place is really small, but we think the excellent area more than makes up for the size
*There's no space at the side of the bed, so not only are there no bedside tables, but you'll have to climb in from the foot of the bed
*The windows and door look directly onto the quiet lane outside ??? it adds to the sense of local atmosphere but isn’t ideal if you prefer privacy
*If you were here for a longer-term stay, you might start to feel a bit cooped up
