Come stay in our newly renovated Azores rental property on São Miguel Island. The cozy one bedroom/one bath has original volcanic arches and a small patio. It has a well equipped kitchen, original volcanic arches, and local handmade tiles. Sleep comfortably in the king size bed (a rarity in the Azores!) with 100% cotton sheets.  There is also full size washer (with a dehumidifier, so clothes dry quickly), refrigerator, and a heating/cooling unit. The rent includes electricity (heat and A/C), water and the fastest wifi available on the island.



The house is located in Ponta Delgada and is walking distance to the city center. There is a wonderful restaurant a few doors down, and most of the other tasty restaurants in Ponta Delgada are within a 15 minute walk. Our street is lively and full of friendly locals.



In both building and operating our house, we have tried to be as eco-friendly as possible. The house is powered by solar panels, and the hot water heaters and heating/cooling units are powered by energy-efficient heat pumps. We’ve tried to use local materials when possible. The kitchen tiles are handmade in the nearby town of Lagoa and the terra cotta tiles are made in mainland Portugal. The furniture is all handmade made by local artisans, including some by Arrisca, which is a non-profit who employs economically and socially disadvantaged Azoreans to make furniture.



The 900/month amount only applies to the low season (Nov-Mar). Inquire about pricing for the remainder of the year. We also have a one bedroom downstairs unit. It is a short walk to Ponta Delgada’s city center and many amazing restaurants. There is a discount for renting both units.
