Oscar and his family are the most wonderful people. I enjoyed every minuet of my stay in their amazing apartment. Oscar cooked me amazing food and showed me around the vibrant neighbourhood. My I hope return to Havana very soon and stay with them again.

Firstly, you stay with Oscar, not Hector which was an unpleasant surprise when all.our contact had been with Hector (who lives in Italy). The apartment was basic, the room was just a door away from the living room where Oscar's mum spent most of her time with the TV on. The apartment was much further from Centro and Vieja than advertised. A 35 minute walk at a fast pace, not 20. Oscar is very friendly and great at telling you where bars and clubs to go to are but that's all he really told us about. There's nothing in the neighborhood to see and limited places to eat.

We had a great stay with Oscar and his family! They were lovely and gave us lots of local tips and advice, an excellent breakfast and the casa itself was a beautiful old apartment with a balcony attached to the room which was lovely to wake up to. The location was also great, we were glad not to be staying right in old havana as it’s so touristy but we could walk there in around 15 minutes. There’s also some good food options nearby. Vivian was also super friendly and helpful with giving us rides for a good price to the bus station and airport and even managed to find us when our bus arrived in a different location. Would definitely recommend!

Oscar and Mireya are exceptional hosts. They are warm, sincere, and laid-back yet fastidious about making sure you have everything you need. It really felt like home. Their house is beautiful, clean and convenient. Oscar takes great care in preparing requested meals. They work so hard to make sure everyone is having a good time but always make it seem like a pleasure. They showed me what a special place Havana is. It’s hard coming home after a lovely time away, but I’m grateful to have the warmth of all of my memories there, and of Oscar and Mireya, the primas Vivian and Alfredo, their neighbours and friends in my heart. I can’t wait to go back.

We met Oscar, Vivian and Mireya, Hector wasn't here but the communication by email was perfect! The family is great! They are all very generous! They offered to pick us up at the airport for a good price, that was very useful and Vivian explained us many things about life in Cuba during the travel and gave us some tips and place to go. Then, the house was beautiful and super clean, the bedroom was big enough and the bed very comfy. Oscar and Mireya make a delicious and complete breakfast. We loved sharing our life with them, and we realized that we need to spend more time in people house next time instead of hotels. Plus they can help you to find other houses for other cities in the country if you want. The last day I was sick and they gave me the few medication that they have and made everything they could to help me (asked a restaurant to make soup and rice for me...). This family is very interesting and generous. We had a great time and we recommend warmly their house.

Oscar and his family were more than hosts. They opened their home and let me be part of the family for the 6 nights I was there. When I told Oscar it was my birthday, he insisted on throwing a dinner party! It was the best meal I had in Havana. The other guests were very interesting, the house very clean, and I would only ever stay in Centro Havana (but bring ear plugs!). I will definitely come back to my Havana home.

We stayed our first nights in Cuba with Oscar. I could really recommend this Casa to everyone! We felt directly at home. It's and old Colonial house with nice decoration. The room has it's own terrace which was really nice if you woke up in the morning. Oscar and his mother we're really friendly. He also helped us with booking Future casa's and taxi's which was really great. Gracias por todo Oscar! Nicolas and Jill

Oscar, Vivian and Mama are the nicest people. Not only that our stay was more than comfortable, they were incredibly helpful in all aspects. Making us feel emerged in their culture, helping us exchange money, showing us around, cooking dinner for us. We could not ask for a better stay. I've not only visited a beautiful country, I've also made beautiful friends.
