It is not a tourist neighborhood: this plays in its favor in terms of crowding, you will not find the crowds of Via del Corso in front of your house, a little less for the quantity of tourist attractions. There are few, agreed, but of great interest: true testimonies of Roman history of the twentieth century.
The area was then urbanized by Mussolini in the thirties, when many homes in the center of Rome were destroyed to create new roads; all the evicted citizens were then relocated to the new 'borgate' built around the city, including Pietralata.
