Emilio and Maria are just setting up their homestay. They are located about a 20 minute drive north of the airport so are not close to city centre. We asked for a pickup at the airport and Emilio was right on time. It was raining in Guayaquil so Emilio offered to take us to the beach for the day. It was a lovely outing. Their house is located in Matices gated housing community and there is a pool right in front of their house. There is a bedroom with A/C, 2 twin beds, an attached bathroom with cold water shower and there is access to a simple kitchen and living area. There is a supermarket within walking distance, not sure about restaurants. Pro: Emilio and Marie are very congenial. Con: Not in city centre if that is the focus for the stay.
