Wij worden gevestigd in het centrum van Katmandu met de meeste plaatsen van de Erfenis van Unesco en toeristencentrum van Thamel in het lopen afstand. Mijn huis is nog van de hoofdweg met verwanten en uitgebreide families die rond leven. Dat maakt tot het veilige, een minder lawaaierige en het welkom heten plaats met meer kansen van culturele onderdompeling en het kennen van het Nepalese gezinsleven. Ik leef met mijn 6 jaar oude schoonvader en echtgenoot van dochterAnna die een reisbedrijf „iTourNepal.com P ltd. in werking stelt“ ik een kleuterschool in de buurt met mijn andere twee vrouwenpartners in werking stel. Zo wij absoluut veel verhalen hebben en activiteiten om u te delen te impliceren. Het huis is een 12 jaar oud concreet gebouw met een rode baksteenvoorzijde. Onze buurt en huis bevonden zich sterk tijdens de aardbeving van April 2015. Alhoewel ik een kleine werf heb, is er overvloed van bomen en bloemen. Wij hebben een milieuvriendelijke levensstijl goedgekeurd. Zo gebruiken wij minder plastieken en compost biologisch afbreekbaar afval. Ik gebruik de mest om groenten op het dak te kweken. Wij hebben water met zonneverwarming en voor achteruitrijlampen. Wij filtreren regenwater en oogsten het. Wij hebben enkel 3 die ruimten voor homestay gasten worden toegewezen. Maar wij breiden ons aan de buurt uit als communautaire homestay. Ik geloof in het afdwingen van een milieuvriendelijke levensstijl door toerisme. Alle ruimten hebben een kitchenette en badkamers een in bijlage. Homestay de gasten kunnen zich bij ons aansluiten in de keuken en leren om Nepalese keuken te maken.

I had an amazing time staying with Kopila and the family. I stayed for 6 weeks and was sad to leave at the end. The family are very welcoming and helpful, we enjoyed some evenings out together and chatted every morning. The breakfast is the best in Kathmandu. The room was spacious and could have accommodated more people at a very reasonable rate. It is located very close to the main tourist area but far enough away that it is a local area with very friendly locals and no touts approaching you. I couldn't recommend this place enough and hope to come back to stay in the future.

Kopila is a very busy woman managing household, homestay, 2 children and working fulltime. She was very accommodating and made me feel right at home. Her whole family and friends/helpers that were there made time to explain things to me and show me temples and advise what else is worth seeing. I am very happy my first few days in a new country was spent with her and her family. If you are considering it just do it. You have your own kitchen for cooking but also have breakfast and dinner in her kitchen if you like. Special moments included listening to one of her children reading Peter Pan to me before dinner and making momo. Also the food was delicious. Thanks Kopila, family & friends for your hospitality. Best introduction to Nepal!
